Breast Reconstruction

The unfortunate woman who has breast cancer can have a new breast constructed. It can be done at the time of breast removal or even a long time after breast removal. The methods used for reconstruction are:

1. Balloon expansion of the chest skin and placing an implant
2. Swing the skin from the back to the front and put an implant under the chest muscle and the skin flap from the back
3. Use of the lower abdominal skin  to form a new breast in the chest
4. Fat injection to the flat chest while sucking the skin with a vacuum device

The new nipple and areola can be created with a small surgery under local anesthesia after the breast mound has been reconstructed.
