Dimples in the cheek can be a beauty mark. It is best to have a dimple only when smiling.

The operation is done on the inside of the cheek so there is no scar on the outside skin of the cheek. The muscle causing smiling must be attached to the underside of the cheek skin so that it can pull in the dimple when smiling.
